It’s always hard to predict exactly how long it may take you to reach the town of Chernobyl and start your work. It is under two hours drive from Kiev, but you never know whether traffic jams will slow you down, or whether, say, a moody policemen at the checkpoint at the entrance to the zone would be on shift and give you a hard time checking your equipment.
